Scheduled for July 6th and 7th, the eighth edition of the Mysuru Literature Fest promises a captivating array of literary delights. Hosted at a prominent hotel, the festival will feature over 30 sessions covering diverse topics. Notable highlights include poetry readings, discussions on AI and sustainable living, and cultural performances such as Yakshagana and Dollu Kunitha.
The inauguration, set for 9:30 am on Saturday, will be led by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, accompanied by guest of honor Ramesh Aravind. The festival will also witness the release of a notable short film and feature sessions by esteemed personalities including authors, filmmakers, and cultural experts.
Attendees can engage in panel discussions on 'Thoughts, words and deeds-Zoroastrian goodness, magical migration' by Ashwin Sanghi and Aroon Raman. While other sessions will explore the art of nonfiction writing, poetry as a form of expression, and the significance of historical figures in contemporary literature.
In addition to intellectual discussions, the festival will host practical sessions on educating about snakes and saving them by Snake Shyam, Pavan Joshi, and Varsha Ananda. A variety of cultural performances and a book expo featuring works by local authors will round out the vibrant program.
This weekend event promises to be a feast for the mind and soul, celebrating literature in all its forms amidst the rich cultural backdrop of Mysuru.
